Aarhus Valgmenighed is a vibrant contemporary evangelical church in Aarhus. We believe in the Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Our worship services consist of a renewed style of the familiar church elements: sermon, communion, worship and fellowship.
Our church community invites people from all walks of life and of all ages: children, adults and students alike. We believe that God wants to change our everyday life into a living discipleship with Jesus, and our vision is “With God - for Aarhus” - inspired by Jer. 29:7, “...seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES
We currently hold two services on Sundays in our main building on Mjølnersvej 6, 8230 Åbyhøj, that follow the governmental restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic:
10:00am service
This service is also streamed live on our youtube channel, so you can follow it from your own living room here. So far there is no translation available during this service (but we are working on that!).
Kids' church
During the early morning service, separate activities for kids of different age groups are offered. These activities are held in Danish.
12:30pm service - with translation
This service is not streamed online, but is translated.
Wireless headphones are available, enabling you to sit anywhere you like and enjoy the service. Please find the headphones at the back of the main church room, or ask someone for help.
There are currently a limited number of seats, so make sure to sign up through the event for the service which can be found in the calendar on our website.
3:00pm International Worship Service (every third sunday of the month)
Our Worship Service in English takes place every third Sunday of the month at 3:00pm
After the service, there are refreshments and time to socialise in the café. If you would like to find a small group, feel free to contact us. We love to get connected with people from our church community!

INTERNATIONALS COMMUNITY
We know that the Danish language can be difficult, and it's important to us that you have a community in this city where you feel at home. We seek to fulfill this with our smaller community nights, where all events are held in English.
The AAVM Internationals community meets fortnightly on Wednesdays 7:30pm at Sara & Keld Dahlmann’s house for a bible study: Tingvej 44, 8210 Aarhus V. We welcome people of all backgrounds and nationalities to worship and sharing life together in prayer and fellowship.

International Pastor
After many years in seniorleadership, MA Theol Keld Dahlmann was appointed International Pastor in ÅVM in 2017. He is married to Sara and they have four children between 12 and 20 years of age. Beside his calling to serve internationals and expats in Aarhus, Keld is a teacher and mentor helping churches and church planters in Europe and Africa. Sarah is an expat herself who moved to Denmark in 2018 to study music. Alongside working as a musician, she volunteers with AAVM Internationals and hopes to help other foreigners feel more at home in Aarhus.
